Family sessions are an opportunity to capture moments with each other, as time often goes by quickly. These photographs will serve as memories to be cherished and shared with generations to come.

Family sessions are available in portrait sessions or in-home lifestyle session. Portrait sessions include candid and posed moments, typically at an outdoor location. In-home lifestyle sessions capture the magic and special moments of your everyday life in the comfort of your own home.

I seek to capture authentic and beautiful moments by taking the time to get to know each family in order to allow the them to relax and have fun during the photo session! We will choose a location that best fits your family and discuss your vision for the photographs. This insight will allow me to capture the personalities and love in your family. I will shoot some formal pictures, but mainly focus on genuine, candid moments, so come come ready to play, explore, and connect with each other.

I recommend no more than one outfit per half hour of shooting time. This prevents too much of your time being taken up by wardrobe changes. Here are some tips for picking out your wardrobe:

1. Plan your outfits ahead of time.

2. Pick clothes you are comfortable in and match your personality.

3. Pick outfits you feel great in. 

4. Coordinate your outfits with the level of formality and color palette, but don't be matchy-matchy. 

   1. ​Ladies, wear a color that compliments your skin tone nicely, paired with neutral colors. 

   2. Consider adding a color pop with a statement piece to layer and accessorize, such as a necklace, scarf, or shoes.

   3. Men, compliment that color. Tuck in your shirt and wear a belt.

5. ​Dresses and skirts flatter the female body

   1. Dresses should have a built-in waist or belt. 

   2. Dresses/skirts with flow and movement the dress looks good on-camera

   3. Avoid overly tight or short dresses, skirts, and shorts.

6. Match the location and season.

7. Solids colors are great, or prints are okay if they are not busy or too small. Avoid graphics and logos.

8. Avoid too much contrast on top and bottom.

9. Avoid wrinkles and bring clothes on a hanger. 

10. Don't wear your hair in a slick ponytail.
